TO SEE/TO DO
Brussels in a different light
A Walk in the fresh air
Destination Tenbosch
Take a walk across the Tenbosch Park (Square Michaux entrance, rue des Mélèzes)! Planted in the 19th century, it is a marvellously well-provided botanical garden full of charm. In addition to its innumerable rare plants, among which there is a “handkerchief tree” from China, or its tortoise ponds, it has the distinction of being home to a colony of wild parakeets! They chose to live in a tree in the lower right corner by the entrance.
A tip: To find them, if they are there at the moment, just follow the noise!
Bois de la Cambre
A few minutes from the Tenbosch park, the Bois de Cambre (Avenue Franklin Roosevelt) is the ideal place to relax with family. The highlights of this 124 ha forest are the artificial lake, the roller skating track and the “Patinoire” restaurant right beside it!
